Cabin Lighting

November 21, 2004 6:31 PM

I haven't done any night flying yet, but I already knew my cabin lighting was lacking. I have an eyeball light on each of the two center section side posts (seen on the right edge of the photo below), but they aren't terribly bright. So I got a gooseneck light from Electric Bob and B&C. It comes with a plug and a dimmer, but I didn't need either of those for my installation, as it is mounted permanently and wired to an existing dimmer. When stowed, it lights the console. When needed it can be pulled out to shine on the panel or a chart.

[Note: Also visible above the guarded starter switch is one of the hinge pins for the cowl.]
