Forward Baggage Tray

December 26, 2004 10:33 AM

I filled the tall portion of the forward baggage area with fuse blocks, ground blocks, heater duct, etc. Even though there is plenty of space left, it can't really be used as storage any more.

So I made this tray to recover the remaining space. It's constructed much like the footwells.

It's held in place by a piece of angle at the front edge and a flush Hartwell latch at the aft edge.

A good use of space. Would like to consider battery there also. Len Kaufman and maybe Randy Lervold did this, I think. Did you weigh and subtract all this from the 50# fwd baggage wt. allowance specified by Van? Thanks for your effort in doing this site. Bill

No, I didn't recalculate the baggage limits. Good point. -Larry
