Mountain Air

August 6, 2005 9:48 PM

I've never landed on an aircraft carrier, but that's what came to mind as I peered through the haze to find the tiny looking, mountian top runway at Mountain Air (2NC0). Pam & I made this quick 90 NM trip with Len & Donna to visit with Paul & Sue Riedlinger, who have a wonderful home at Mountain Air Country Club. When I started building the RV-8 in 1998 and was starting to meet with other local builders, two of the first I met with was Len and Paul. This group of three grew to a substantial local builders group, and eventually evolved into a builder's/flyer's group know as SouthEast RV or SERV. It's been several years since we've seen Paul, and it was good to catch up with him again.
