Ocracoke, NC
Back to wonderful Ocracoke again, this time with three other RVers and our wives. We thought the small ramp would be packed during the Labor Day weekend, but it wasn't. Maybe the jump in gas prices scared everyone off.

We stayed at the Crews Inn. It was a nice cottage sort of atmosphere for a decent price. We rented bikes to get around and had many a good conversation on the comfortable porch.

There is no shortage of great places to eat. Here we are at the Back Porch. The Thai place and Howard's Pub were also good.

A cold beverage and views like this make a perfect end to any day.

Here's a little 7 minute movie of some air ops over Ocracoke.

Larry, I just watched the video of the Labor Day trip to Ocracoke Island with my wife Terry, whom I believe you have met. We both enjoyed the music you selected. Who is it and where can I get more. It reminds me of Orlando and Rosie O'Grady's Good Time Emporium. They played ragtime like this.

Glad you enjoyed it. Yes, I remember Terry. The first song is Blue Heaven Rendezvous, by Jimmy Buffet off his Barometer Soup album. The second is After You've Gone, by Loudon Wainwright III. It's off the soundtrack from The Aviator. There are several good ones of that type on the soundtrack.
