Paint: Homecoming

March 25, 2006 11:05 PM

Time for the plane to come back home!! Bringing it back to 8A7 was uneventful, except for the dead battery and the big thrill of flying again! It's weird seeing all that blue ahead of me and stripes to each side. I had grown use to grey primer and dull aluminium. Thanks to Ron Hope for snapping the pictures.

Here is the log book entry I made after the paint was complete, including the colors:

Aircraft painted by Aircraft Painting & Interiors, LLC, Rowan County Apt. (RUQ), 3680 Airport Loop Rd, Salisbury, NC 28147. (704) 662-6528. PPG Concepts: Clear DCU2021, White BC2185A, Silver/Blue BC35913A, Black BC9000 Prime, Ultra Blue BC4164A, Safety Yellow Napa 56A8018. New total weight is 1130 lbs and empty CG is 79.11” aft of datum.
